Welp, I am Michael and welcome to my software development blog. I’m a professional software developer who started their career without a college degree, certifications, experience, or any guidance. I’m currently a senior software developer and have been developing professionally for nearly 10 years now.
Honestly, when I started down the path to become a software developer I had no idea how much of my life was going to change. I literally went from hardly being able to afford to feed myself and never knowing where I was going to end up the next day to having a financially stable life and a six figure income.
What's the Purpose of this Blog?
So, what’s the purpose of all this? Am I going to try to sell you some e-book or seminar giving the “…and you can do it too!” sales pitch? Absolutely not! The purpose of this blog is to tell the story of my journey of becoming a software developer, the trials and tribulations I’ve endured in the process, and everything else in between.
My goal is to inspire other underdog developers to learn, write code, put yourself out there, and ultimately get employed. While my story is not that unique and many others have succeeded in software development with a similar background; I aim to serve as a mentor using my own experience to help reduce the ambiguity that lies ahead in your own software development journey.
